Box Types 1969-1983

It was always a bit controversial how the boxes of the SuperFast series should be typed. Some preferred to name the first ones "A" again, but soon voices were raised to continue where Regular Wheels left off, i.e. with the letter "F". Since the first SuperFast boxes looked exactly like the last F-boxes of the Regular Wheels series, the listing of the types in my table starts again with the letter "F". Only the main types were mentioned, a complete listing would go beyond the scope here. Thank you for your understanding.

TYPE YEAR DESCRIPTION PICTURE
F 1969-70 The first Superfast box is very reminiscent of the F-box of the earlier years and
was only produced for a short time. There are a few "subtypes" here.
The first ones have the "SuperFast" imprint in red. Subsequent types in black.

G 1970-74
Here is the "real" SF Box ! New design and very beautiful.
Exists for all 75 numbers of the series.

H 1970-72 Only for a short time , with or without Superfast imprint under "Matchbox".
Very characteristic the underline with the Superfast wheel.

I 1971-77 This box is the most common and is the "standard box" of the SF series.
The "Rola-Matics" models were also delivered with this box.

J 1974-82 Besides the "Superfast" and "Rola-Matics" series, "Streakers" also came with the box.
The last box in which the vehicle was still shown in motion.

K 1980-83 The last "good" box, the lugs were not yet cut on the sides as in the later boxes.
The vehicles were only shown standing up.
